19th The 12th Australian Championships were held at Cairns Queensland. Famous Aussie exports were making their mark, including Katrina Miller, Jared Graves, Daniel Sprague, Travis Turesson, Wade Bootes and Anthony Waye with the Pro Am win.

July 1992 saw Cockburn BMX Track flooded due to a significant storm front. According to reports after this flood was when the very first track
design changes occurred.
